Terms of Service.

These terms define the rights, obligations, and standards that apply when you access or use DiffCv.

  • Your Content: You own all resumes, bullets, and documents you produce.
  • AI Assistive Role: AI assists writing; you are responsible for fact accuracy.
  • Billing via Paddle: Subscriptions renew until cancelled through your account.
  • Easy Cancellation: Cancel your subscription anytime with zero hidden hurdles.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, browsing the website, or using any feature of DiffCv (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Account Security

You must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use DiffCv. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Promptly notify us if you suspect any unauthorized access or breach of your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities conducted under your authenticated credentials.

3. Description of Service & AI Assistance

DiffCv offers interactive resume editing, cover letter generation, ATS keyword matching, Google XYZ formula metric rewrites, and PDF/DOCX document exporting.

AI Output Disclaimer: The AI features are assistive tools designed to improve phrasing and alignment. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and confirming the absolute truth and accuracy of any statements, metrics, job titles, or achievements before submitting resumes to prospective employers.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

Your Ownership: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of the personal data, employment history, and resumes you enter or export from the platform. We claim no ownership over your career documents.

Platform Rights: DiffCv retains all proprietary rights, copyright, and trademarks in the underlying software, application code, visual interfaces, design assets, and algorithms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or extract source code from the Service.

5. Subscriptions, Payments & Paddle Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. Paddle handles customer inquiries and billing operations:

  • Free Tier: Includes generous monthly base resume creations and essential AI generations as displayed in our pricing table.
  • Pro Tier: Provides unlimited AI tailoring, unlimited PDF/DOCX exports, and deep keyword diffing on a recurring monthly or annual basis.
  • Auto-Renewal & Cancellation: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled prior to renewal via your Account settings or Paddle customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the conclusion of the paid billing period.
  • Refund Policy: If you experience technical defects or are unsatisfied with your upgrade, you may request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase by contacting our support team.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent API rate limits, generation quotas, or paywalls.
  • Upload files containing malicious software, viruses, or harmful scripts.
  • Resell, sublicense, or rent access to your DiffCv account to third parties.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind. While our ATS optimization is modelled on industry practices, DiffCv cannot and does not guarantee job interviews, offers, or specific employment outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DiffCv and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms. You may delete your account and terminate your relationship with DiffCv at any time via your account settings.
